eLearning Module's are typically developed to accommodate distance learning: a user can take the course at any time at any place and often times via a variety of platforms (PC/iPad). Usually housed on an LMS but can also be accessed from learning management portals and/or other servers. For ERS, the term "emodule" usually refers to a traditional elearning approach -- based on screen level contnet and can be done with or without audio narration. 2 and 3D medical art can be used along with animations and builds. eModules should begin with a detailed content outline drilled down in to lessons and topics which help to esitmate the overall number of screens in the module. eModules should include some level of self-assessment and interactivity (multiple choice, draft and drop approaches, etc) and customers typically also require a separate, scored module assessment.
- Less time intensive than HTML programming due to using templated designs
- Non-collaborative programming environment (only one programmer can work on a Storyline file) -- this applies to all deliverables
- Limited customization
